Camping in Appenzell

The region of Appenzell is beautiful! Absolutely amazing rolling green hills, in front of a steep mountain range, bathed in sunshine and the occasional misty cloud. The landscapes here really are amazing, and the little villages dotted around the hills are, what’s the word, cute? Plus there’s a red train that rides around all of them. This is the region where the famous Appenzell cheese comes from, but I’d say it’s even more noteworthy for the sceneries. Some of the most beautiful I’ve seen in Switzerland. It was a good idea to spend a couple days here, time for some landscape photography and hiking!
Night was rough though. There was a massive storm over the mountains, and the tent got drenched. Lightning and thunder all night long, kind of incredible actually.

This is the tent. Turns out we were camping somewhere we weren’t allowed to for the whole stay, and were only told at the end. Haters gon hate. A great place to camp though, as you can see. Facing the sunrise as well!
