Leicester landscape

Behind where I used to live in Leicester is a large housing estate called Thorpe Astley, which was in build when I moved to France back in 1997. So I don't actually know my way around there.
This afternoon I went for a walk to the park there next to the M1 motorway, with my friend and his dog. At the end of the park, near the local Aldi, is an artificial mound which was put in place using the surplus earth from when they built the housing estate.
From the top you can get some great views of the surrounding houses and Leicester city centre. Using my Lumix compact, I got some reasonable zoom shots. This one is looking towards Leicester railway station with on the left a Premier Inn next to the station (the blue building with the multi-coloured panels).
Hopefully we'll have a clearer day while I'm here to take some better photos, as today was a bit hazy.
