April Showers
The forecast was spot on today - rain, rain and more rain. And it is a cold rain. But there is always good news. I saw our first hummingbird looking for the feeders. I headed for my she shed in the downpour. They now have three fresh feeders to choose from. I took my photo of the viburnum from the back porch. It might not be the best perspective of this beauty but today, it’s the best I could get. My sister gave me this lovely bush a few years ago. I am amazed how much it has grown. And it has a nice fragrance. Hubby and I used the day to work on inside jobs. I cleaned the kitchen, dusted the house and other odd jobs. I answered four more questions in my “life story” book. Hubby has started his. He also started packing for his annual MerleFest trip and subsequent WV visit. He vacuumed all the floors. Jamie says it’s too nasty outside for us to go to Parker’s lacrosse game. It’s also too nasty outside for the players. I’ll make our Lenten fish dinner and read a while. Waiting to hear from my sister and BIL. Their illness is lingering. They decided to go to urgent care to get a diagnosis/meds. Hope it will go away soon; they are supposed to come home on Sunday. Stay safe and dry folks. Sure hope you have a fun weekend planned. Thanks for the visit. “Our spring has come at last with the soft laughter of April suns and shadow of April showers.” - Byron Caldwell Smith
