The Big Day
Started with me doing mums hair before I went over to where Natalie was staying (Josh stayed with us last night) for my hair and make up to be done. All pretty relaxed. I was meant to bring the buttonholes back with me and I hung around for as long as I could before I had to head back and get ready. As I drove down the lane I saw the florist van arrive but someone else was going to take them to the church. The peacock was also out again, on his own this time but holding up the traffic.
When I got back to the cottage Sim, Nat and the boys and Bex, Adam and Arayla were there. I quickly got dressed and we headed off to the church.
The service was lovely. Oscar was a page boy along with her nephew and two nieces as flower girls. I wasn’t sure if he would do it. But he held Holly’s (5) hand and walked proudly down the aisle.
Back at the barn we enjoyed canapés and bubbly outside looking over the Surrey Hills. The weather was glorious but that wind still had a real chill to it. Photos were also taken and then we went inside for speeches and food. We wiled away the night with dancing.
The day went off well and they couldn’t stop smiling all day.
Here’s to the new Mr & Mrs C.
I took very few photos but grabbed this before the confetti was thrown.
