My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

So I bought myself a $50 rice cooker. It seemed like a bargain and indeed it would be IF THE ****ING THING WORKED.

It's annoying. I hate when you buy something defective. But before you leap all over me YES IT IS ****ING DEFECTIVE.

It will NOT stay on the "cook" setting but keeps flipping over to "warm". And yes I've done all the bloody things including checking the bloody water levels, cleaning the bloody sensor, drying the bloody sensor and every-bloody-thing else.

It is defective. 

WHO'S DEFENSIVE?? YOU'RE DEFENSIVE. SHUT UP.

So anyway. All my ambitious cookery plans have gone awry AND I've got a cold. 

So I was a bit grumpy today. What else happened? Oh yes. 

Crashy was due to go to the vet but he very sensibly scarpered. So DG got scooped up and taken instead. 

He was ALSO a bit grumpy. And quite right too.

p.s. Caro was VERY sympathetic about my cold! I remarked upon this. She has been very nice to me! It seems all my whining and complaining has paid dividends.
