Dinky lily

Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh

This little lily plant was growing in the alpine area of the gardens. 

We started with a trip to Dovecot Studios to see the Scottish Colourists exhibition. A bit of discussion about whether it met expectations - fewer coastal scenes and portraits than expected and a little surprised at the number of works not by the four artists that we expected to be the focus. I still really liked a number of the works.

After a pause for lunch three of us thought we'd take advantage of a bright sunny day and headed for a walk around the botanics.
