The brighter half
With Elbows manning the fort at home, I set off on an arranged swimming road trip. There were just 3 of us going to the newly opened Northcroft lido in Berkshire and it was another county open water swim ticked off the list. Nice distance swam. Needed it. Lovely lido.
On the journey home, NoaNoa called and his symptoms sounded much more like it could be appendicitis. Elbows took him to North Mid Hospital A&E and I took over from him for the long wait, as soon as we got back to Enfield.
Lots and lots of memories here. I’ve spent many many days (literally) in this place, for my mother many times, my father, for Elbows, for LongLegs and once for a baby NoaNoa. He is in so much pain. Surgeons saw him. 2 are convinced he needs his appendix out, even without a scan. They don’t have theatre time until tomorrow morning so it is a waiting game and a tricky road of pain management.
