The joys of bus travel

Clifton Suspension Bridge, Bristol

A few of my friends just cannot understand why I enjoy travelling by bus, and will avoid doing so at all costs. I love being on the move and find it relaxing sitting back and watching the world go by, especially when you get to enjoy views like this, from when I was travelling back from Clevedon on Friday.

I had the opportunity to head out on the bus again today, but after a very disturbed night due to the heavy rain and strong wind that sent things rattling and rolling all night long, I decided to stay at home. I'd like to say I spent the day resting but the day disappeared in doing chores. The wind was so strong that the back garden is now decorated with pink, orange and white confetti, and one of my newly emerging Delphiniums snapped clean off. At the front of the house there was no sign of my two recycling boxes. I managed to find one of them half way down the road, and I found some of the contents of the second box, but no sign of the box itself. However this afternoon someone returned the second box to me, having found it round the corner in the next road! The weatherman did warn us but I didn't expect it would be as bad as it was. This evening he's said there may be the chance to see the aurora tonight, time will tell...

Thank you for your kind stars for yesterday's Easter wreath.
