‘Holiday’ afternoon

My birthday today.
This morning was spent with the ‘falls’ guy installing a ‘falls alarm’ for mom. Unfortunately, she didn’t have the strength in her fingers to press the button on the wrist band so she needed to have a pendant to wear around her neck. Hmm, I wonder how much she will wear it?

Anyway, the afternoon was ‘holiday’ :D
Cathie, Scout and I took Pam the van and drove to Hawes for a wee wander. We managed to find a wee independent shop that also sold takeout coffee. When I saw her walking over to retrieve the coffee bean canister from the shelving unit I was assured it would be good coffee and I was not disappointed.
The weather is just so lovely in the sun. We would happily come back here for another wander sometime.
As we wandered we found a sign about a baptismal service at Semer Water and figured it had to be fairly close. So we went there next and parked Pam so her back opened to the water and setting sun.
I played with Scout in the water and she enjoyed swimming after her ball while Cathie read her book. When Scout had had enough of swimming, I went out for a swim. It was lovely. And warm as I discovered I wasn’t cold and was in for quite a while and finding it difficult to get out! But knowing that I wasn’t cold going to be sitting out watching the sun set, I got out before I got cold.
Canned chilli and rice was my birthday dinner with hummus and chips on the side and pineapple strips for dessert. Mmmm! And the view was just gorgeous. So lovely! :D
