The Eagles Of Dotzheim
Although the one in the middle looks more like a vulture.
The long weekend is now here and very much required for all of us in the team.
The lovely weather has offgebuggert and has been replaced by cold winds and greyness. It would be nice if we got the rain that is so desperately required - it's bone dry outside.
Interestingly we had a whole millimeter of rain on Tuesday and that was enough to cause the grass to double in height overnight. Spring is really hurrying and we are nowhere near getting past the Eisheilgen (a group of Ice Saints whose feast days fall in May (The Ice Saints are St. Mamertus (11th May), St. Pancras(12th May), and St. Servatius (13th May), St. Boniface of Tarsus (14th May), and St. Sophia (also called Cold Sophia) on the 15th May. These are the dates where we might get the last cold snaps of the year. The cold snaps can be very detrimental for fruits that bloom early - grape, apple, cherry harvests can all be very negatively affected.
