Cherry blossom
...in my Mum's garden.
Up early today, to take my Mum for her eye appointment in Yeovil. My sister dropped the car off to us beforehand - nice to see her briefly. Everything went suspiciously smoothly (after the debacle last time) - we got to the hospital in good time, drove straight into the only spare disabled parking space (which had become free at that exact moment), got checked in at the hospital, and Mum got called in more or less on time. Her appointment went well (another injection in her eye - and confirmation that the previous ones have been working). Had a good journey back afterwards too.
We had a chilled afternoon (and I did a bit of weeding around the front door and the driveway), then my sister and nephew came round at dinner time - for my nephew to mow Mum's garden. My sister was worried he had a seizure brewing (so followed him round, holding the lead out of the way) - and unfortunately, when he stopped for a quick rest, he did have one. It's the first time I've witnessed it - quite upsetting. It wasn't a particularly big one, but still horrible seeing him - and my sister - going through that (again - he's had so many). Once he'd recovered, she whisked him off home quickly - and reported that he'd had a full seizure later in the evening. Poor love. He's such a good-hearted lad, and it's so unfair - and scary.
