Painted Lady

Tremendous show of butterflies today while working at the nature reserve. Despite seeing plenty of Silver-washed Fritillaries, Common Blues, Brown Argus and Small Coppers, the star was this bright, beautifully turned out Painted Lady - only the third one recorded on the reserve this year.
