New Haircut
Ziggy back home after his haircut. He's not impressed and really doesn't enjoy going, but Bedlingtons don't shed their hair so it would get really awful and matted if he didn't go to the groomer regularly (every 6 to 8 weeks). He's got his eyes closed as the sun was so bright.
The sheep and lambs in the neighbouring field are always interested in him - they probably think he's an escapee lamb!
After the groomer's I took Ziggy to the Donkey Sanctuary for a walk to cheer him up! We met another Bedlington there which is quite unusual as there aren't many down in the South West.
I've been unable to visit Clive since Tuesday as there's an outbreak of d&v at the nursing home and they're asking people not to visit at the moment.
Thanks very much to everyone for their kind remarks yesterday. It's a superb nursing home that he's in, and I appreciate how fortunate we are to have been able to get a place there. Plus it's only about 3 miles from home which is a great advantage as I visit most days. About 18 months ago, before he moved into that home, it was suggested that he go to a home near Barnstaple. Although it's probably an excellent place, it would have been a 3 to 4 hour round trip every day. It was quite an ordeal to get a place here, but was worth the fight.
I haven't commented on any Blips yet, but will get round to it soon.
