Life in Newburgh on Ythan

By Talpa

Thriving!

Our false shamrock Oxalis triangularis  has delighted us with its colourful leaves and elegant flowers for some 30 odd years. It dies back each winter but faithfully bounces back in the spring.
The species  widely grown as a pot plant  is endemic to Brazil where it is on the IUCN Red List of endangered species.
