Looking for the beauty

London Christmas lights etc

Today was a beautiful winter's day. We started the day with a walk across Tower Bridge.  I can highly recommend this. It doesn't cost much and the views were lovely.  You also get a trip to the museum included which is quite interesting.  I don't like heights and felt absolutely fine. I even stood on the glass floor.
Afterwards, we walked to beautiful Leadenhall Market and then walked around the city. The skyscrapers are spectacular.
Finally, before heading home, we did the riverside walk. We started opposite the Houses of Parliament, walking next to the Covid Remembrance wall. This stretches for a long way and brought back memories of lockdown and the millions of lives lost. We continued onto Lambeth Church Tower, had cake and a cuppa in the café before we finished off by climbing the narrow tower to see lovely views of London. Definitely worth doing.  Another really enjoyable trip to London.
