A little corner of Kings Cross
In London. A night in the Premier Inn at Kings Cross before catching the morning Eurostar. Arranged to meet my friend J (coming up from Sussex) in a cafe in St Pancras but in fact we bumped into each other in the queue for the women’s toilets:) We had a wonderful late afternoon walk through the various quiet streets, squares and gardens in nearby Bloomsbury. Brunswick Square, Mecklenburgh, Argyle Square, and Marchmont community gardens. Such a treat, giant London planes, listening to a blackbird, virtually no cars. My extra is a well populated branch. We were both a bit disoriented at first, it’s 35 years since we lived, worked and played around here. But we soon got our bearings. I still think I’d like to come back to London to live, but I’d have to win the lottery. It has so much more of everything
