Hallelujah

I joined the mailing list for the Albert Hall earlier this year - trying to fill the diary with things as a distraction maybe?!  Handel's Messiah has been performed on Good Friday for around 150 years (minus one year during WW11).... so I decided to get tickets.

OH was busy at football (again) so I asked friend T if she fancied it?  She is 76 and never turns an experience down so happy to accompany me.  She paid for lunch at the V&A Members restaurant washed down with a glass of bubbles.

It was a packed house and we had good seats (Loggia Box) some of the music was not to my taste but the choral parts with almost 200 voices was sublime, and of course the Hallelujah Chorus is the stuff of goosebumps.

London was buzzing and it was a good day.  Home by 7.30 and in view of fasting scan tomorrow morning, had a few crumpets with cheese to sustain me.

Day done
