Put a bird on it

Yeah, that's a White-Throated Swift on my collar. It's in the care of my good friend--her mother found it in the road before all its grown-up feathers had come in and she's looking after it until it can be released. Swifts live and nest high on cliffs; I've never been remotely near one until she found this one. It has a very rich personality for a wild bird, looking inquisitively at our faces, responding to mock chirps, and resting comfortably on various human surfaces. It's a real gift to have it in such close proximity.
