Taken 19 years....

That's how long we've been in the house for, and I've finally got a fireguard that looks right.

The old one ( a folding one ), was falling apart and you were liable to cut yourself every time you touched it. The previous one went the same way.

Bought a replacement, but because the fire can be shutdown opened up, when opened the fireguard didn't fit. This one looks the job, and with the weather this Easter weekend being a return to normal for the time of the year, I'm pretty sure it will get used within the next few days.
