Moaness Pier
CMC surprised me this morning (!) and gave me an envelope. I opened it, it contained no money, or a train ticket to Carluke. It was a card indicating it was 50 years today that we first met. On the Hoy Pier. In the intervening years the pier has changed somewhat. So have l. At the time CMC was at school, l was soon on probation. I used to help her with her homework; she soon became my homework. We first chatted at Mr Stewart's garden party at the Hoy Lodge. Events continued at Garson when her folk had a spontaneous evening party; there was dancing in the kitchen. I think my folk were there. There was plenty of home brew and Standfast whisky.
Into the Hoy café today, Kenny and Sheila were there. Everyone has to be somewhere.
