The (almost) finished computer

For the last week I've taken over our dining room to have enough space to work on the new computer. As we have Son#3 and family coming for Easter Sunday lunch tomorrow (roast lamb of course!) I was under a 3-line whip to clear my junk today.  So I quickly put the final finishing touches to the hardware installation and moved the new machine into my little study. As I'm still not quite 3 weeks from my hernia operation my Editor wouldn't allow me to carry it myself so we shared the task (it's quite heavy!). It seemed appropriate to grab a quick shot of it for my blip before putting the side back on the case - the only photo I've had time to take today. There's still a lot of software to install of course but that can be done bit by bit. It's working fine except that it only "half recognises" the re-purposed Bluray/DVD drive* - it knows it's there but it won't read it. So that's my challenge for the next few days. My Editor likes the challenge of crosswords and word puzzles whereas on the whole I prefer practical challenges. (Fortunately it's fine with the drives which I swapped from my old PC, 2 of which you can see here which contain almost all my photos...yes fear not, they're all backed up too!)

* PS DVD drive sorted! :-)
