Stonechat #42

Hubby was out at his all day monthly games today, so I took myself and my next door neighbour off to RSPB Marshside and then WWT Martin Mere. 
It was cold, drizzly and way windier than we expected which made it not so pleasant first thing. We had a couple of hides to shelter in which were very welcome and we saw 45 different species of birds. 
Onward to Martin Mere and the wind had dropped a little so it was a bit more comfortable. My favourite shot of the day was this little male stonechat who was catching flies in front of the hide and attracting a lot of attention.
