Eye to Eye

A Day of Two Halves

In the morning I spent an hour at the Villeneuve Hide to test whether I was going to be able to walk far enough this afternoon. What luck to see a White Wagtail taking off. I’ve never managed a decent photo of any Wagtail before they are so quick.

This afternoon I did walk, slowly … along the Adonis Flower (extra) Path between Saxon and Charrat in the Valais. So many trees have been broken across the forest part of the path. Many of the rare Adonis flowers (this is the only area in the Alps where this grows) have been crushed as well because of the huge snowfall there was in Valais whilst we were having rain two days ago.

Thanks for your enthusiasm for the Adonis Blue butterfly yesterday.
