Poor Ziggy, the girls are back!

The twins, Bella and Hetty, came back last night from their week with Julia.
Ziggy was thrilled, despite having to wear a Pudsey Ears type headband!
The top photo is showing the parched ground over at the playing fields. It's not quite so bad in the large part of the field, where the grass is denser, but this was as we were approaching the gate on the far side to walk past the school and back through the field from another direction.
The recent few showers have not made any change to the cracked, and very dry, earth.
