Holy Saturday
Grateful…
For traditions.
Growing up, Easter was always more important than Christmas and full of Polish traditions and solemnity.. till Easter morning!.
Holy Saturday would see us go to an empty church with our Easter Baskets, full of our hand decorated eggs and Easter food, to be blessed. A more joyous occasion than the three hour solemn service the day before, but not a church clad in flowers and ringing bells that would greet us on Easter morning.
Today was a busier day than I normally like on Holy Saturday but I had promised to share a table at a craft fair.
Again a day of meeting interesting people and being treated to a delicious home packed lunch as a thank you .
The journey home was somewhat arduous as I had forgotten my phone which meant I had a very tiring walk from the train station with very heavy bags, being unable to ring my trusty servant to pick me up!!!.. the things I do!!!
