(109) Cake

Although I do most of the cooking in our house I haven't baked anything for ages (apart from oatcakes) so I'm hoping this turns out OK. It's basically a Victoria sponge but with a good whack of lemon zest added to the mix. Layers will be sandwiched with good quality lemon curd and topped with lemon buttercream. It should make enough for about 12 servings, which will be perfect for a family birthday gathering tomorrow.
