Out on the bike first thing to get a few local/urban miles in the legs. 

The train South at lunchtime - a family trip to Hull for a couple of nights, the first time our girls have seen their grandparents for two years. All fine - slightly controversial however with a debut trip to Sam's for an obligatory pattie and chips tea...apparently the chippie of choice at the top of the road has gone downhill somewhat.

We're staying at the Premier Inn in town and our two have just gone out clubbing to Spiders, the alternative place that I used to frequent in the mid-80s. Apparently the drinks are still insanely cheap and The Sisters Of Mercy remain on the playlist. We did have breakfast pencilled in for 10am tomorrow but let's see how that pans out eh?
