Practicing for Buckingham Palace....

No, not Donald Trump before his State visit but John Nash, the celebrated architect of Buckingham Palace. Before designing Buck House he practiced many of the techniques he would later use while building the manor house of Llanerchaeron. This included the use of false windows which produced external symmetry without interfering with the internal room layout and design.
In glorious, sunshine we walked the 3 miles from Aberaeron to Llanerchaeron along the old Lampeter railway line (a victim of Beaching's cuts) and walked around the lovely grounds and walled gardens of the charming National Trust property.
The afternoon was rounded off by a thirst quenching pint while basking in the late afternoon sunshine in The Feathers back in Aberaeron.
A perfect Easter.
