Pasque flower after the rain

Unexpected sunshine this afternoon so some gardening got done. Couldn't resist capturing this stage of the pasque flower. 
This morning I finished off the acrylic painting on canvas that I have been working on over the weekend and the photos of a calla lily that I took last year that the painting is loosely based on.
It's the first time I have used the acrylic paints in anger and I discovered what poor quality they are....they were very cheap! I bought them just to give acrylics ago and it may have been a false economy. Anyway, I achieved the textured background I was wanting with my new brush and after several layers of painting I got the effect I was happy with. More experiments to follow.
