Oh no!
It's the Madison again! Easter Monday (La Saint-Loup) is traditionally the first communal social event after the end of winter. It should be a picnic, somewhere out in the countryside: take a camping stove or build a fire, and cook wild asparagus omelette and sausages. The village social club always organises it, but sadly as the age of the organisers advances, they become more timid. Nowadays it is usually held on the terrain des fêtes on the edge of the village, but today the weather was considered too risky even for that (also: "Old people need proper toilets!"). So the village hall was the venue, but almost all of us sat at tables outside (extra).
Yes, it was windy, but warm enough if you were adequately dressed. There was a relatively small turnout too, as some younger people had chosen to have their own picnics in the proper countryside. Here's what happened last time we did that. It was convivial enough today, but not exactly boisterous until M-P and A initiated a Madison.
