Dabton Loch

It was rather damp and cold today, so this morning I didn't feel guilty sitting at my computer writing up meeting minutes and doing other bits and pieces of admin. 
After lunch we decided to go for a walk and looking for a different route. We ended up at Dabton Loch, just north of Thornhill. The Loch and much of the land around it belong to the Duke of Buccleuch. 
For half of the walk we were accompanied by a lady and her dog and we had a wonderful conversation about living in Dumfries & Galloway, as well as travelling.
