Bank Holiday Bugs
Very wet this morning. I got mediocre images of a few of my garden birds singing in the rain.
I shed a tear when I heard that Pope Francis has died. It was a shock. He and MrQ became ill with double pneumonia around the same time. I thought he was recovering. I keep making weird connections since MrQ's death. I saw a lovely picture of the Pope on Twitter with a beautiful white dove fluttering above him which made me think of yesterday's tiramisu almost as if it was prophetic.
I went hunting with the macro lens on and found a solitary bee that was struggling as one of its wings was a strange angle. I photographed a green shieldbug and a sawfly. It wasn't until I saw my pic of a dock shieldbug on screen that I noticed that it had been photobombed by an Issus coleoptratus nymph.
