Incubating

Initially, this swan was alternately on and off her nest when I visited the bird hide.  A week ago, both of the pair were in the carpark taking food from visitors but since then she has stayed on the nest. She usually has her head tucked in sleeping but here she was in the middle of a preening session.

The nest is directly in front of the hide.
