Tender

When spring arrives each year, we realize how much we have missed  that tender shade of green when young leaves start to unfold.

I pass this tree downtown every time I go for a certain rendez-vous. The lighting was just right this morning to capture the details of this pretty leaf and adjoining catkin. In the background, we can see a darker area with slats which belongs to some blinds on a house behind the tree.

I just read that it's Earth Day today, so I'm glad that I chose the colour green and these leaves on a tree!
