Wood pigeon, kereru

I always enjoy the kereru coming for a feed outside the lounge window. There isn't much left for them to eat,  i am not sure what they eat in the winter. 
This morning we had a surprise in the supermarket. We were at the checkout,  ready to pay,  when the fire alarm sounded. We all had to evacuate and stand in the cold car park for ages. There was no fire,  just some idiots that had set off an alarm after being told they were not welcome in the shop.
