Still life with filter

Here is my entry for the Monday filter blip challenge, set up by our good friend Hobbs.

A simple still life, in the background our latest cookery book purchase, "Maha" by Shane Delia, on Middle Eastern cooking.
I have now added the before and after images to make this composition.

Clearer effect.

The Photoshop effect used was called Paint daub
Brush size 11
Sharpness 12
Simple Brush type

My second choice would have been to use Film look! Maybe next week.
