The hurdler

JJ plays golf on Tuesdays, but not today.  He's playing tomorrow.  As if I didn't have enough trouble remembering which day was which over the Easter break, that's added a further complication to the week.

We went to our local nursery this morning because I needed a significant amount of potting compost.  I also had a drool over the plants but didn't buy anything just yet.

This afternoon I've started on the edge cutting and done the front garden.  The back is a bigger job and I'l do it in a couple of stages, in between rain probably, over the next day or two.

A pair of squirrels have been investigating whether they can build a drey in any of the pollarded trees, but that was a no go, fortunately.  We really are very short of garden birds so was pleased to see this one pottering on the lawn and deciding to hurdle the lone leaf.

Camera club tonight and one of our members is talking about her recent trip to the Galapagos.
