My Boy
And for those who want one more "birds & blooms" shot, I'm putting a very handsome red-winged blackbird in Extra. If you look close, you will see one bloom still blooming! My favorite shot of the day, however, is Jax sitting in a patch of sun with sleepy eyes.
I enjoyed my morning tea on the deck listening to a symphony of birdsong including first of year eastern towhee, bluebirds, cardinals, robins, wrens and many more. Migration is definitely underway.
I headed over to the surgery center late morning to get my injections. They do them using fluoroscopy which involves a fair amount of prep work for what ends up being less than 5 minutes of actual procedure. Lidocaine injections first numb the area enough that I don't really feel pain so much as pressure. Anyway, it's an easy procedure and I was sent home with the usual precautions to take it easy for a day and then resume normal activities. So tomorrow morning I'm meeting a couple of my birder friends for a walk in the wetlands.
Gorgeous weather again today. And I am avoiding the news because it's all pretty awful. Hubs has karate tonight so I will catch up on a couple of episodes of The Americas which is wonderful.
xoxo
