My pal texted 7am yesterday. Her husband was mucking about with an angle grinder on Friday and his left eye has been sore ever since
Yesterday I was off and the practice closed so I couldn’t help. Go straight to an opticians and do not pass go said I
Late last night I asked how he got on. Didn’t go but eye much worse……. Pffft
So in he came today rather sheepish muttering he thought it was ok. Maybe a wee infection etc etc
Nope cracking bit of rust embedded in the cornea
Thankfully, a whole whack of anaesthetic, a needle and a steady hand, BAM I got it out with no need to trip to Minor Injuries for six hours.
Rather satisfying although I was on catch up for the rest of the day. Grrr
