First rhododendrons

I did a tour of the garden this morning and noticed the first rhododendron flowers opening. Plenty more to come, and my new azalea is looking promising too.
The bees were very busy this afternoon, bringing in nectar and pollen. This is a very good sign, but the first swarm of the year has been reported nearby so I will try to check in my hives if possible and see if they are up to any mischief!
