Stairwell

I was reading the New Yorker yesterday and there was a little article about the stairwell of the 8 story flagship building of the Pace gallery in Chelsea in New York City. According to the article,  David Byrne, the lead singer of the '70's rock band Talking Heads was making drawings in said stairwells. He lives nearby and said, I just thought, Oh it would be fun to do something in the stairwell because I take the stairs all the time and they're boring'

Intrigued, I texted my granddaughter, Claire who lives in Chelsea and asked her if this was the  Pace gallery where she works.  She replied , 'Yes, I work there! David's great and always around. Super chatty and friendly in person.' She sent some pictures and I've posted one of them.

Needless to say, I didn't take the picture but I decided to break the rules and post it anyway because it makes a good story. Not only that, but it was a nice connection with Claire and I managed to convert the HEIC pictures she sent to Jpeg so that I could publish one.

Here's  a link to a Talking Heads song that will take everyone back almost 50 years....

Due to a scheduling error on my part, we had two Pilates classes today, one on the floor and the second a half hour away in Windsor with Kathy.
Pilates teachers seem to be on the same wavelength since we did similar things in both classes.

In a sad little bird mystery, John came in with the bright blue body of a  male bluebird. I wonder if he was the mate our little female has been fluttering around the doors and windows looking for. I guess we'll never know. She hasn't been back today either.
