Tree root sculpture . . .

…………….…… but can you see a face? Or even two!

We found it this morning walking around the Matakauri Wetlands, up the gorge from Queenstown. Not too hot and not too cold; ideal for a walk with a friend.

This afternoon we had a Frenchman visit our weekly Groupe Français. He’s working with HelpX, and at present is helping my son-in-law with some needed carpentry work. It was super having him talking to us in French and for us to be able to ask questions and get answers, both in French and English. Marvellous!
