Rhododendron

Phase two of spring starts!
Rhododendron time! Hooray :-)
Best time of the year!

Now that I have finished boring you with magnolia pictures (to be fair, I've been very restrained this year!) it is time for you to see the Rhododendron!  It climbs up one side of the front of our house and it's so striking, it's always fun when the first flowers open.
Other than that, it was quite a tricky morning with Ben, there was a change of plan on the activities with the carers, as they had planned to go somewhere that was closed, so he was anxious and then worked himself up into saying he didn't want to go and was slamming the door and kicking when they arrived.  I calmed him down and he went off in the end but it's so stressful, worrying about him, about them and about whether I can keep appointments and do what I've said I'll do.. or will I have to be on call for a crisis.  Sigh.  They have an app to keep me up to date and that didn't help today, they kept registering his mood as 2 out of 5.. and I quote, "agitated, grumpy, irritable, tearful.."  Not the sort of thing you can read and just carry on going about your day :-(  I rang the office and asked them to check on the carers and suggested they bring him back to the office where he sometimes goes after school and does crafts and waters the plants etc.  They spoke to the carers on duty and came back to me to say it was all under control.  He was fine when he got home, so I probably do need to just chill out!  Tomorrow is mini golf for him, so I think he should be more bouyant.  Fingers crossed.
Other than that, I walked the dog, went to the post office, replaced some trampoline springs, made a bolognese and took Older Teen to an appointment which was actually good as I had to sit still and I read my book for a bit :-)
For now, Ben's out bouncing on the trampoline and there seems to be an uneasy calm about the place, so I'll interpret that as winning :-)
