Islam in the LIbrary

I was in town today for a couple of tasks. One was booking the camper van in for a service, the other was to attend a lecture organised by the local University of the Third Age. The subject was "Islam - from Muhammad to the Thousand and One  Nights. After the summer we'll get part two, from the Thousand and One Nights to the present time. The lecturer did an excellent job - he said it wasn't easy to give a half-year university course in 3 hours!
The lecture took place in the main lecture hall of the library. I took the photo as I walked down from the 4th floor, trying to show the beautiful interaction between the interior of the library and the park outside.
