An anhinga in dire straits.

I went to the pond this morning to get my blip and found this anhinga with string caught up in its beak. I got a towel from the car and was going to attempt to free him/her from it, but he/she flew before I could.

I have contacted the Ocala Parks Dept and they assured me they would take care of it, and I believe they will.

Last time I contacted them because of a cormorant caught in a tree because of fishing line they promptly took care of it!

I hate seeing this sort of thing happen because someone didn't clean up after themselves!
