Tarlair

Today, we took the dogs for a walk to Tarlair which is just outside Banff.
It is the site of Tarlair Swimming Pool which is the main photo.
It used to be very popular as an outside swimming pool as you can see in the extra.
However the whole site fell into a state of disrepair and had been badly vandalised.
But a support group was formed and with the aid of of various grants and hard work and dedication, the art deco building has been restored, and today we had coffee and scones in the cafe, as you can see in the other extra.
I don’t know if there are plans to restore the “swimming pools” but it’s lovely to see the building looking so well compared to its previous state.
