Nostalgia victim...

I'm really not sure why I persist in buying the Playfair Cricket Annual. With the increasingly fluid worldwide transfer market the player information is often out of date by the time of publication, and the tiny print is becoming increasingly taxing on my ageing eyes. Add to that the fact that you can call up more up to date information on your smartphone and it starts to look like rather a waste of money, and yet there is still something intrinsically appealing about this dense little block of print, I'm afraid I will always prefer the word on the page to the pixel on the screen.
