Dahlia

Today is Anzac Day, commemorating defence services' action and loss in combat. An Anzac Day tradition is two-up, a gambling game played on no other day of the year. I mention this because the noise of the revelry is still going, out of the pub at the end of our street which is closed to traffic. The one day of the year.

I so enjoyed going back to yoga today for the first time since my hip op. In the late afternoon I headed for Sydney Park in the hope of finding a flower in the community farm. Most likely I've caught the last dahlia of the season, with bonus ladybird. So glad it was a yellow one. Matched with purple, what could be nicer?
