Royal decorations

Today is the day some thousands of people receive a royal decoration in honour of their volunteer work for our society, a tradition that happens always before the day the Dutch celebrate Koningsdag. One of our Mattemburgh guides received one too and it was a joy to see her surprise and happiness when she realised that instead of taking some pictures at Mattemburgh with her son she was being decorated by the mayor and she was being celebrated by family, friends and fellow guides.

This orange flower looks a bit like our flag from the sides, so I used it for a card for her :-) .
