Wild Flower Win: the return of the pollinator

I'm sure like a lot of people who live in cities I have been spreading wild flower seeds on unloved bits of ground in my area for a while.

When we first started doing it the local numpties just trashed the ground again.

After 5 years or so more blooms appeared and just about managed to survive being picked over.

Today I walked past a patch awash with white flowers. I initially thought they were snowdrops but on closer inspection much hardier and smelling redolently of garlic.

They are a three-cornered leek (Allium triquetrum). Not something to present to your loved one unless they want to cook with it :-)
